As Malaysia develops into an industrial nation, people become more accustomed to technology and advancements. Electronic gadgets that were once available to select few are now mainstream necessities that we all depend on.

While the use and spread of technology is very useful indeed, we should not forget the world we live in and how we are still part of a global ecosystem. Understanding our role in this world is very important as humans are the most dominant species of the planet, and our actions, no matter how small, will ultimately have bear a consequence to the Earth.

Nature

One very good way of appreciating Mother Nature is to go on a jungle trekking session.

In light of this, children camps organised by the Malaysian Nature Society, in conjunction with FRIM and Shell, help educate the future generations of Malaysians about nature and also inculcate a love and appreciation for all things natural. The latest of these camps will be held between 16th and 18th September 2011, at the Nature Education Centre in FRIM, Kepong. The camp is open to children aged 7 to 14 years old. The theme for this camp will be Nature Art, and will encourage children to appreciate their natural environment. The camp is a 3 day 2 night event filled with a flurry of activities suitable for children. Fees for the camp are RM180 for members, and RM220 for non members and will include meals, accomodation, and insurance.
