Monsoon season has arrived! While in a lot of cities this would mean sitting indoors and being bored, in Kuala Lumpur there’s a whole world of activities to be discovered under the dry safety of the shopping mall roofs.

As the largest indoor theme park in Malaysia, it’s definitely worth checking out when the clouds start to roll in.

Tickets are RM51 for adults and RM41 for children. Opening hours are 12pm – 10pm Monday to Friday, 11am – 10pm weekends public holidays.

Complete with 22 roaring dinosaur animatronics, a dino-shooting range and your chance to race a Galliminus dinosaur, you won’t have a minute’s boredom.

Tickets price for Malaysian citizens is RM25, non-Malaysian citizen RM40. Opening hours are 11am – 6pm Monday to Friday, 10am – 8pm weekends.

For something a bit different to the standard bowling trip, why not try archery?

Stars Archery operates a couple of indoor archery ranges in Kuala Lumpur and promises fun for the whole family. They have a team of qualified instructors to guide you safely through the weaponry and then it’s over to you to test your target practice.

They’ve also recently introduced blowpipe games for a taste of some true Malaysian culture.

Prices depend on the number of arrows/games played. Opening hours are 10am – 10pm daily.

4. Petrosains – KLCC Shopping Mall
