At A Plank Bridge

January 17, 2012 at 12:00 pm

We have often heard our grandparents talk about their experience during the World War II in Malaysia – how the Japanese ruled our country with an iron fist, the cruelties and the harsh times that they faced during that time and how thankful they are to be able to enjoy living in a peaceful country now. Despite the harshness of it, many still seem to be inspired by the stories and the lessons that can be learnt from it. Although movies like Band of Brothers, Saving Private Ryan, Empire of the Sun and Schindler’s List makes an interesting watch, it also gives the viewers a glimpse of how life was during that time.
