Pangkor is an island off the coast of Perak in north-west peninsular Malaysia,
reached by ferry from Lumut (a small coastal town that links to Ipoh, or from
Sitiawan). It has a land area of only 8 square kilometers, and a population of
approximately 25,000 islanders. It is heavily promoted as a low-key tourist
destination by the Malaysian government, but fishing and fish products remain
major industries.

Muzium Kebudayaan or Cultural Museum was inaugurated in
March 1954 by the then Resident Commissioner of Melaka, G.E.C. Wisdom, C.M.G.,
in a Dutch house built around 1660. The museum was later moved to the Stadhuys
in 1982 before it was finally moved into its own complex in the late 1980′s.

There are about 100 ancient burial sites in Alor Gajah
district, Melaka which is also known as Batu Megalith Datuk Tua. It is believed
to be the ancient graves of their ancestors. One ancient site identified is
situated at Kampung Cerana Putih, Simpang Ampat, Alor Gajah.
