September 15, 2011 at 12:00 pm

The race is back! No, the Malaysia Formula One Race at Sepang is already over for the year, so since it is near Independence Day, it has to be the Malaysia Merdeka Endurance Race 2011. This year’s race date has changed to coincide with Malaysia Day celebrations on 16th September, instead of being run on Merdeka Day, which is the 31st of August.

While the Formula One race seems more popular here in Malaysia, this endurance race certainly has its fair share of fans. This year’s race is the 12th edition, and will see competitors from all over the world, including teams of drivers from world renowned endurance series including the LeMans 24 Hours, Nurburgring 24 Hours and Dubai 24 Hours coming to the Sepang race track to outdo each other as they put their cars to the limit. The Malaysia Merdeka Endurance Race is a 12 hour race where cars are driven nonstop around the Sepang circuit.
